Lightweight Containers, KeyKeg and UniKeg, expands manufacturing capacity with production facility in the UK, ahead of Brexit.
To support growth, flexibility and sustainability, Lightweight Containers, the producer of KeyKeg and UniKeg, is expanding its production capacity with a brand new state-of-the-art production line in Seaham, UK.
After months of hard work on site, Lightweight Containers has finalised their newest production facility in Seaham, County Durham. This plant is fully operational and supplying customers already.
Anita Veenendaal, Chief Executive Officer of Lightweight Containers, says: "Ahead of Brexit and all its uncertainties, we feel it is essential to be physically present in the UK, with local teams. The UK is traditionally our largest market and we see service as a crucial element of our success. We aim to provide the best service, keeping stock as close to our customers as possible. The new location and the extra capacity will further improve this service and reduce environmental footprints significantly."
With the opening of the production line in Seaham, Lightweight Containers now has a global presence of 4 production lines and 10 warehouses with the planning of two extra production lines in 2019. The company is improving its service and environmental footprints even further.
