SweetWater brewery has been making tasty brews in the heart of the south since 1997. What started as the pipe dream of two college buddies who spotted the opportunity for craft beer has turned into a dream job full of great adventures and delicious beers.
Now SweetWater is one to the top ten craft breweries in the US and has built a reputation for producing fresh, high quality fresh beer such as its flagship 420 Extra Pale Ale, along with several seasonal brews. It also exports its beer to 13 countries using 20L KeyKegs, safe in the knowledge that the beer will arrive as fresh as the day it was brewed, allowing consumers around the world to share the SweetWater taste sensation.
The brewery is named after a small creek in Atlanta where Freddy, one of the founders, regularly fly fished. This love of water is now very much part of the brewery's philosophy, recognising how precious it is as a resource.
The brewery's partnership with KeyKeg is one way of fulfilling its commitment to sustainability and the responsible use of water in its operations. Unlike steel kegs, KeyKegs require no washing and just 1.5L litre of water is used to produce 1L of beer and fill it in a KeyKeg, compared to 6L of water when producing 1L of beer and filling it in a steel keg.
SweetWater brewery also organizes 420 Fest – an annual celebration of great beer and music for their local community in the heart of Atlanta and has innovative partnerships with magazines and music bands. As part of its effort to raise awareness of plastic pollution, it has developed Kick Plastic Pilsner in partnership with Costa Sunglasses. Thanks to its circular design, KeyKeg is helping the brewery reduce its own plastic waste.
Both SweetWater and KeyKeg share the commitment to sustainability, to reducing the impact of their products and operations and to leaving the world a better place. Cheers!More information
